Job Description

Process Pro Consulting is looking for a contract-to-hire strategic and technically skilled Automation Engineer to design build and maintain the systems that power client growth. Youll act as a technical implementation partnerworking closely with Consultants and Solutions Architects to bring automation strategies to life inside and around HubSpot.

In this role youll design and implement custom automations integrations and UI extensions translating business needs into smart scalable systems. While you wont manage entire projects end-to-end youll take full ownership of the technical components you buildwhether thats a custom-coded action an API integration or a data cleanup script.

Youll contribute to planning and scoping join client calls when technical context is needed and help navigate creative solutions when HubSpots limitations demand it. Youll also have the autonomy and flexibility of a remote position supported by a collaborative team that values clear communication and thoughtful engineering.

As an Automation Engineer youll support a diverse range of client projectsprimarily within HubSpot but often extending beyond. Your typical responsibilities include:

  • Designing building and optimizing HubSpot automations using workflows custom-coded actions APIs serverless functions CRM cards and internal apps (mainly and Python)

  • Creating and maintaining integrations between HubSpot and third-party systems via REST APIs middleware or custom scripts

  • Developing internal HubSpot apps CRM cards and extensions to enhance client portals and user experience

  • Implementing automated data clean-up property resets normalization logic and data syncs across platforms to ensure clean consistent data

  • Supporting subscription logic deal automation lead routing lifecycle stage updates and complex CRM schemas and object relationships

  • Collaborating closely with Consultants and Solutions Architects to scope plan and deliver scalable technical solutions aligned with client goals

  • Acting as the technical lead on multiple client projects simultaneously often supporting clients who lack internal technical resources


Qualifications :

Experience and Technical Expertise:

  • 35 years of hands-on experience building advanced scalable automations in HubSpot (Professional or Enterprise tiers) including workflows custom-coded actions APIs and custom objects across Marketing Sales and Service Hubs

  • Proficient in writing and deploying JavaScript and Python particularly within HubSpot custom-coded actions and serverless functions (e.g. HubSpot Functions Google Cloud Functions)

  • Experience integrating HubSpot with third-party tools and middleware via REST APIs webhooks and platforms like Make Google Apps Script Zapier and Google Cloud Platform

  • Working knowledge in React HTML HubL is a plus

  • Experience in process flow tools (e.g. Lucidchart Miro)

  • Strong understanding of system architecture data modeling and CRM structureincluding custom properties deal pipelines lifecycle stages and object associationswith a focus on scalability and maintainability

  • Familiar with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows

  • Skilled at technical deliveryparticipating in discovery calls translating requirements into technical specs and delivering clean well-documented code and solutions

  • Proven ability to translate complex client needs into reliable scalable technical solutions aligned with business objectives

  • Proactive problem-solver who anticipates edge cases automation gaps and system limitations engineering thoughtful solutions with fallback handling error logging and rollback strategies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong prioritization and project communication abilitiesadept at managing shifting requirements surfacing blockers and communicating timeline or capacity changes clearly to stakeholders

  • Working knowledge across several operational areas (RevOps Marketing Sales Finance and Customer Service)

  • Working knowledge of common processes supporting RevOps (e.g. Lead Management Sales Pipeline Subscriptions).

  • Working knowledge of KPIs and reporting needs for RevOps
