What you bring to SBHG :
MHSII Masters degree in a mental health field with BBS MFT intern registration or BBS ASW associate registration
MHSIII Masters Degree in mental health field with MFCC or LCSW license in California
Two 2 years direct service experience with seriously mentally disordered patients one 1 year of which in treatment of children and adolescents is preferred.
May be requested to obtain an LPS Certification to put in effect a 5150 hold.
This position may be requested to obtain additional certifications as necessary.
Valid California Drivers License.
Spanish Speaking Required
Inperson assessment visits required
How you will make a difference:
This position has primary responsibility for assessments and linkage for families interacting with DCFS. Assessments include but are not limited to the MAT Summary of Findings Ages and Stages Questionnaire DMH Assessment documents etc. Children and families will be assessed in several domains in order to determine the best course of action to assure success in the goals set forth by the families within the MAT process and as set by court order. He/she acts as liaison with external agencies on behalf of the client and family for services identified during the MAT process. He/She documents services bills for mental health services when appropriate and completes tracking and outcomes information and reports. Responsible to conduct standardized assessments and will lead MAT meetings as required. Responsible for collaborating with DCFS/DMH personnel and families to set dates and times for Summary of Findings meetings. Responsible for accurate documentation reporting and followup on assessment findings. Ability to link to needed services is essential. Variable hours are needed to accommodate evening/weekend meetings when required by family needs.

Community Based programs.
Provides programs for children adolescents and transitional age youth (TAY) with Mental Health services.
An experienced staff of psychiatrists psychologists social workers mental health therapist / Clinician parent partners and other counselors
Provide case management mental health care and a range of support services in schools homes or other community settings.
Partner with family members school administrators and faculty county social workers case managers probation officers and other agencies.
Utilize Evidence Based Practice (EBP) to ensure clients make positive changes in their life.
