An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Environmental Officer to join a forwardthinking worldclass manufacturing operation. This role offers a unique chance to influence sustainability drive compliance and contribute to continuous improvement within a dynamic industrial environment.
The successful candidate will support and maintain the SHERQ strategy and systems working closely with plant teams to ensure legal compliance environmental best practice and risk mitigation. From conducting inspections and audits to facilitating environmental training and spearheading investigations this role offers real variety and impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and improving the Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Conducting plant inspections and internal audits
- Monitoring and analysing environmental indicators and compliance data
- Facilitating risk assessments and leading investigations
- Coaching teams on compliance legal requirements and system best practices
- Supporting training awareness and continuous improvement efforts
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A . or degree in a SHERQrelated field
- 25 years experience in the chemical industry
- Strong knowledge of IMS environmental legislation and riskbased thinking
- Excellent data analysis auditing and reporting skills
- Proficiency in systems such as IsoMetrix SharePoint and Qlikview
