Course Description: In this course students will discuss and practice programming techniques with emphasis on webbased applications. Elements of good style and usability are introduced.

Masters degree min. in Information Design or related discipline required.
A min. three years industry or professional experience.
Capacity to work cooperatively across multiple sections of a course.
Experience having taught at a postsecondary level in Information Design Visual Communication or related discipline for a min. of 1 semester.
Coursespecific experience required:
Demonstrated experience in HTML CSS low code and no code web development.
Functional understanding of accessibility in web design.

Course Description: This course builds on the work completed in previous information design prerequisite courses but places it in the context of interactive media. Emphasis is on problemsolving for the design of humancomputer interfaces and visual communication for interactivity including page and navigation design taskdriven versus informationdriven approaches and interactive data visualization.

The Faculty of Business Communication Studies & Aviation comprises the Bissett School of Business the School of Communication Studies and the Aviation Program. The Bissett School of Business offers a fouryear Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with majors in accounting human resources general management (with concentrations in innovation and entrepreneurship social innovation). Students in the Bissett School of Business can take a fouryear Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. The Aviation Program is housed in the Department of International Business Supply Chain and Aviation and offers a twoyear Aviation Diploma and the newly launched fouryear Bachelor of Aviation Management. Students in the School of Communications Studies take a fouryear Bachelor of Communication Studies (BComms) and can pursue majors in Broadcast Media Studies Information Design Journalism and Public addition to the two degrees and their majors students are offered a variety of minors concentrations and certificates to complement their major.
