For our local support and a brandnew role were looking for

The Capacity and Contingency Owner responsible for developing implementing and maintaining the organizations business continuity and capacity planning programs.
This role will ensure that the company can effectively respond to disruptions while optimizing resources to meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Continuity Planning:

    • Develop implement and regularly update the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to ensure operational resilience.

    • Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical functions and potential threats.

  • Capacity Planning:

    • Analyse current and future capacity requirements based on business forecasts and resource allocation.

    • Collaborate with departmental leaders to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions for optimal resource utilization.

  • Training and Awareness:

    • Design and deliver training programs for staff on business continuity procedures and capacity management best practices.

    • Conduct regular drills and simulations to test response plans and improve overall preparedness.

  • Crisis Management:

    • Act as a point of contact during crises coordinating recovery efforts and providing regular updates to stakeholders.

    • Lead postincident reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of the response and identify areas for improvement.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws regulations and industry standards related to business continuity and capacity management.

    • Prepare documentation and reports for audits and regulatory reviews.

  • Stakeholder Communication:

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including IT finance and legal teams to align continuity strategies with overall business objectives.

    • Prepare and present reports to senior management on business continuity and capacity planning initiatives.

Who are we looking for

  • 5 years experience professional of in business continuity capacity planning or risk management.

  • Indepth knowledge of business continuity frameworks (e.g. ISO 22301 and capacity planning methodologies a plus.

  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively across departments.

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar are a plus.
