Reports To: Building Principal and Superintendent
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Temporary Fourth Grade Teacher to guide and support students in achieving their full academic emotional and personal potential. The ideal candidate will foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment and support the overall mission of the school. This role includes planning and delivering instruction assessing student progress and collaborating with school staff to ensure a positive educational experience.
Develop and maintain accurate records in accordance with NLCS policy and state requirements.
Uphold high standards of professional ethics and conduct.
Demonstrate and model professional dress and demeanor.
Manage the classroom effectively ensuring a safe structured and supportive learning environment.
Maintain discipline and promote positive behavior among students.
Display strong knowledge of content area and instructional best practices.
Arrive and dismiss classes punctually adhering to the schools schedule and expectations.
Deliver lessons with enthusiasm clarity and confidence.
Actively monitor student behavior engagement and progress.
Show respect and professionalism in all interactions with students staff families and the school community.
Present instructional content clearly and align it with established learning objectives.
Protect and maintain school property including instructional materials and classroom resources.
Maintain an accurate inventory of classroom texts supplies and equipment.
Foster positive relationships between the school and the community.
Refer concerns related to attendance health and socialemotional wellbeing to appropriate personnel.
Participate in school committees and extracurricular activities as needed.
Attend and contribute to faculty meetings workshops and professional development events.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal or superintendent.
Valid Indiana teaching license for elementary education.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to supporting student growth and achievement.
Knowledge of instructional design and interactive studentcentered teaching strategies.
Familiarity with Indiana Academic Standards and evidencebased instructional practices.
Proven experience in teacher leadership or collaborative roles.
Ability to set clear goals prioritize tasks and contribute to a resultsdriven team environment.
