Job Description

Title: Investigator

Unit: Pharmacy Benefits Management

Salary Range: $55000 $70000 commensurate with experience and qualifications

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Location of Work: Oklahoma City

Schedule: Fulltime

Position Description: Performs responsible investigations of Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) companies licensed in the State of Oklahoma. These investigations are conducted under the statutory authority of the Patients Right to Pharmacy Choice Act the Pharmacy Audit Integrity Act and other PBM related Oklahoma State Statutes. This is not a law enforcement position and CLEET certification is not necessary.

Unit Summary:

The PBM Compliance & Enforcement Unit ensures that Pharmacy Benefits Managers (PBMs) comply with the Patients Right to Pharmacy Choice Act Pharmacy Audit Integrity Act and other related Oklahoma statutes and regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and investigate cases
  • Communicate and collaborate with other Investigators Supervisory Investigator OAG Attorneys and Analysts.
  • Interview witnesses victims and suspects and then document findings
  • Effectively and professionally research prepare analyze and understand complex information and legal issues.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Attorney Generals Office as well as the confidentiality of information as required by the Attorney General.
  • Ability to provide sound judgment as well as exhibit excellent report writing skills
  • Prepare and provide testimony in courtroom settings

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to analyze information identify patterns and draw logical conclusions
  • Possess a valid Oklahoma drivers license

Preference will be given to individuals with:

  • A bachelors degree
  • At least two years of experience in one of the following career fields: investigations or data/information analysis
  • Accounting Experience
  • Experience with complex financial matters
  • Experience investigating financial crimes
