Job Description

Experienced Contract Management Specialist

Company:

The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Contract Management Specialist based out of Tukwila WA.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a commercial derivative aircraft program based on Boeing Commercial Airplanes like the 737 and 767 with potential engagement in programs such as E7A Airborne Early Warning and Control P8 Poseidon or KC46 Tanker. The dynamic nature of this role ensures that daytoday responsibilities are diverse and everchanging making it ideal for individuals who excel in environments filled with innovative and unique challenges.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Exercises appropriate signature authority leads and participates in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products services technologies financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies

  • Leads the presentation and development of complex business solutions to preserve and expand the business

  • Represents the company in external negotiations to a diverse set of customers

  • Prepares negotiates executes interprets and administers legally binding contractual agreements of a complex nature for The Boeing Company

  • Leads coordination and partnership with other internal functional disciplines

  • Summarizes complex contractual issues and leads development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation

  • Serves as the primary liaison to United States Government (USG) Contracts Organizations covering a wide range of acquisition and activities

  • Collaborates with government partners and program managers to meet contract obligations

  • Negotiates good business deals

  • Protects Boeings Intellectual Property

  • Fosters relationships with programs functional organizations and Integrated Product Teams

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of defense contracts or related experience

  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)

  • Experience using analytical collaboration communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance

  • Experience in defense contracting

  • Experience in aerospace or direct defense contracting experience (e.g. NASA)

  • Certifications in Contract Management from organizations such as the National Contract Management Agency are desirable

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.
