Role Purpose:
We are looking for a highly organized and commerciallydriven Buyer to shape the buying strategy for our multistore and ecommerce GAP UK business. You will be responsible for planning and purchasing collections in line with GAP brand standards while tailoring product assortments to the needs of each store and channel. Working closely with store management ecommerce and the franchisors merchandising teams you will drive sales growth optimize inventory and deliver a seamless customer experience across all platforms.
Role Responsibilities:
- Own the buying process for all GAP UK stores and ecommerce platforms in line with our Brand Strategy and seasonal frameworks.
- Analyse sales data customer insights and local market trends to shape buying decisions and identify regional opportunities.
- Plan seasonal and replenishment buys to support sales targets inventory health and margin objectives.
- Build strong relationships with GAPs franchise teams to manage product selections delivery calendars and compliance requirements.
- Customise assortments where possible to reflect local customer demand while maintaining brand consistency.
- Collaborate with marketing store teams and ecommerce teams to align product availability visual merchandising and promotional activity.
- Monitor stock levels identify potential risks (overstock/understock) and recommend strategies for balancing inventory.
- Support seasonal planning budgeting and opentobuy (OTB) processes.
- Track and report on product performance key KPIs and market feedback to inform future buys and improve profitability.
- Stay informed on competitor activities regional retail trends and customer behaviour to support strategic buying.
Role Requirements:
- Strong analytical and financial skills with experience interpreting sales reports and managing budgets.
- Excellent knowledge of inventory management principles and omnichannel retail operations.
- Strong communication and relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to work crossfunctionally.
- High attention to detail organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and retail systems.
