The faculty member is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in the Fred D. Gray Institute of Law Justice & Society. This is a 12month parttime position requiring the teaching of 12 credit hours per year including travel courses within the major. Advise and mentor students in course and career planning research and classrelated projects. Engage in activities to support the mission and vision of Lipscomb University and the College of Leadership & Public Service. Engage in intellectual pursuits and professional development. Engage in departmental and interdepartmental collaboration to benefit the program college university and students. The above statements describe the jobs essential responsibilities and requirements. Description of Task:
Education: Masters degree required Juris Doctorate or Ph.D. strongly preferred
Experience: A demonstrated record of college teaching experience in the classroom is highly desirable. Experience in learning management systems (Blackboard Canvas) and online/hybrid teaching experience is preferred. Extensive engagement in community or government service is highly desirable. Five years of professional practice is required. Experience or training in Conflict management is preferred. Experience or training in Conflict management is preferred.
Qualifications:
Active Member of a Church of Christ is preferred.
