Job Description

Archer is seeking a Fishing Supervisor in Aberdeen UK to support the growth and development of Fishing & Milling services. This role involves planning coordinating and executing Archer Fishing & Milling systems at well sites ensuring safe operations and serving as the primary customer contact. The candidate should have a deep understanding of Fishing & Milling operations and be open to learning about perforation techniques wellbore cleanout procedures and cementing processes.

There will be opportunity to be part of a major UK abandonment campaign with a fixed rotation spanning multiple years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise onsite rig crew and ensure equipment readiness.
  • Maintain contact with the client and keep Onshore Operations updated.
  • Attend meetings to share updates and communicate reports to Operations Coordinators.
  • Promote Archers reputation and communicate any NonConformances.
  • Provide 24hour contact availability for all Archer operations.
  • Perform work safely and efficiently adhering to Archer and customer requirements.
  • Assist in the workshop as needed.
Qualifications / Experience:
The ideal candidate for this position should have:
  • A minimum of 5 years of offshore experience in Fishing & Milling operations.
  • While no specific educational background is required some formal classroom or online training related to Fishing & Milling operations is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a variety of Fishing & Milling operations with a strong background in offshore .
  • A mechanical aptitude and pragmatic approach with a solid understanding of the downhole dynamics of Fishing & Milling Bottom Hole Assemblies (BHAs) and the ability to design and implement appropriate BHA combinations.
  • Selfmotivation proven offshore operations experience successful job and an understanding of downhole hydraulics.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies.
Archer provides a grading structure for this position to support career progression and the development of knowledge and competency in our product lines.
