Job Description

Bellesini Academy Overview Bellesini Academy is an independent Catholic middle school (grades 58 dedicated to providing a quality scholarship education to students from limited financial means living in Lawrence. The mission of the school is to provide an academically challenging and highly structured environment that develops the potential for each student to succeed in competitive secondary schools and colleges. Bellesini Academy is a coinstitutional school serving 120 for this Position The Director of School Operations (DSO) is the business leader for the school managing all noninstructional functions services and staff so that the instructional team can maintain a concentrated focus on teaching and student achievement and maximize instructional time. The DSO ensures that the school is managed with operational excellence and fiscal prudence by creating refiningand implementing policies and systems while upholding the values of Bellesini Academy. The DSM works to create a culture of service and support. The DSP partners with the School President to develop a schoolwide culture of respect and achievement grounded in common goals and empathy toward others. The DSO is a critical thinker and innovative problem solver with a high level of emotional intelligence. Essential FunctionsThe essential functions for the Director of School Operations are the following: Business/Finance :Be a strategic partner to the President of the school. Working side by side you will be a team to make important decisions about strategic goals and day to day operations of Bellesini Academy In consultation with the President and the Board of Trustees Finance Committee create monitor and adapt the schools operating and capital plans. Manage all business office operations including financial reporting oversight of outsourced accounting firm manage the timely and accurate filing of all regulatory and tax filings. Oversee and actively participate in the annual audit procurement lifecycle including: vendor selection purchase order management inventory management and invoice reconciliation.. Operational Leadership Human Resources: Serve as the Human Resources administrator and manage employee information and benefits consulting with outside resources as needed. Maintain all employee files update required HR paperwork and systems. Oversee CORI and SAFIS filings and Child Safety Development and Information Technology:Implement and manage schoolwide technology systems and procedures that ensure operational excellence including finance safety procurement compliance tracking and budget management. Oversee IT systems and serve as the liaison to IT Maintenance:Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the school. Arrange and schedule contract resources for upkeep and repairs. Collaborate with the Boards Facilities Chair to identify and prioritize capital improvement :Capture and organize key school data with reliability for creation of various compliance reports (attendance health enrollment etc. Manage all necessary federal state and local compliance that all fire life safety regulations and procedures are implemented to ensure the well being of all school staff and students. Management:Manage all noninstructional resources including consultants contractors and part time the School Administrator Create a culture of service and support and ensure that the school maintains operational excellence.
