Purpose and role of job:
This position will allow a driven hardworking and dedicated candidate to gain experience in the Press and PrePress departments of a significant familyowned and growing group of manufacturing companies with exposure to the senior staff but also to the companys organization and systems.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with FQP&Ps printing process
- Assist the PrePress department in all aspects of the process
- Inspect printing plates for damage and errors and log the findings
- Work with Process Engineer to collect and evaluate Press trends
- Work with the teams to update Fusion specs
- Keep clear organized records of all projects
- Use Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite to edit and design informational media
- Maintain open communication with the Press and PrePress Managers.
- Provide Managers with measurable growth data for team meetings
- Follow all GMP SQF OSHA and all company policies and procedures
- Ability to work on multiple projects while adhering to Quality requirements and meeting deadlines
Education and experience requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Candidate that is actively pursuing a print or packaging related degree preferred

Manufacturing operation
Physical Requirements:
- Walk/stand 100 of time during a 12hour shift.
- Occasional stooping bending kneeling and squatting throughout shift.
- Occasional climbing and reaching
- Occasional reaching overhead during shift.
- Frequent pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift
- Frequent lifting or carrying items/product weighing 10 pounds.
- Occasional lifting or carrying items/product weighing 50 pounds.
- Constant use of hands
- Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift.
- Operation of cranes hoists hand trucks and roll manipulators throughout shift.
- Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area.
- Occasional climbing of steps.
- Balance required for some tasks.
- Full color vision is an essential job requirement
- Does not mind getting dirty and maintaining 5s housekeeping standards
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to maintain records and logs
- Ability to climb ladders and work from high ground not afraid of heights
- Ability to operate a PC
- Ability to use hand tools proficiently
- Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts (days/nights)
- Ability to work in a Tobacco Free Facility and on a Tobacco Free Campus

40 hours flexible parttime employment Fall Summer & Spring semester
