Consistent with the Agreement between the North Canton City Schools Board of Education and the North Canton Education Association the following positions are being posted for the period of Aprilor until filled.
Summer Literacy Intervention Tutors
Description:Teachers will plan and deliver literacy intervention instruction to a small group of students based on identified areas of weakness in decoding or to build English Learner students skills. Candidates with experience in and possessing knowledge of multisensory systems of phonics instruction are desired.
- Preferred Licensure:Early Childhood P3 Primary P5 Elementary K8 Elementary 18 Middle Childhood English Language Arts 49 K12 Reading Endorsement or Intervention Specialist (K12 P3 or P5
- Dates & Times: Teachers will schedule sessions during the summer on dates and at specific times that fit both the teacher and families schedules.
- Location: Instruction may take place in one of the districts buildings as long as its coordinated through Michelle Hostetler or Denise Cooley or at the North Canton Public Library.
- Pay Rate: $30.60 per hour through June 30 2025 and $31.52 starting on July 1 2025
- The number of teachers hired will depend upon the number of student enrollments
