General Summary: The VP Sales US works with the GM to develop best in class sales strategies for the US markets. The VP Sales US will manage our Regional Manager Team; holding accountable and mentoring on sales direction and territory management.
Essential Job Duties:
Reports into the Smith GM.
Communicate sales objectives and monitor performance vs. target by region representative and account.
Report to the GM on a weekly basis covering all the regions (West Central NE SE KA and/or Canada).
Recommend to local Sales Management key actions to enhance productivity of current doors through travel efficiencies merchandising and training.
Coordinate/execute RSM inmarket travel; ensuring that SMITH and Suncloud presence is consistent across all points of sales in relevant accounts.
Be the official contact for all relevant buying groups by working with GM Marketing and PR to enhance SMITHs role in ensuring assortment authenticity appropriate focus and resources.
Provide insight and support to the category managers by communicating key market trends/needs which will help in the creation/refinement of new relevant models/colors for both Smith and Suncloud.
Ensure successful selection and onboarding of new Regional Sales Managers and sales representatives as needed.
Have an intimate understanding of each territory garnered through market visits with each RSM.
Partner with the Marketing team to ensure alignment on appropriate content relevance and investments for each channel in key markets.
Direct and leverage local activities budgets allocated to the regions; Develop original and consistent activities in agreement with the RSMs.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Extensive sales management experience in the bike snow and/or outdoor space required
A strong understanding & working knowledge of channel trends & market influences
Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects & timelines Ability to coordinate & manage internal & external resources
Strong written verbal and presentation communication skills Understanding of social media platforms and strategies
Strong working knowledge of Word Excel PowerPoint and strong presentation skills
Active outdoor sports enthusiast!
Willingness to travel (domestic and international) Education & Experience:
Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in relevant area of study
10 years experience in sales for a relevant industry/field
