As a Youth Development Counselor Supervisor you will plan develop direct coordinate and administer an integrated rehabilitative services program for court committed adjudicated delinquent residents who are housed at the center. You can expect to actively supervise professional and nonprofessional employees who provide rehabilitative treatment education recreation and social development programs in accordance with bureau and agency policies. In this role you will ensure the safety and security of staff and residents by maintaining order and discipline. This will be done by employing the least restrictive intervention techniques. By providing guidance in social and emotional growth and displaying prosocial values and ideals you will be a positive role model to staff and the residents. Additionally you will assign and direct employees in facilitating the scheduled recreational and therapeutic activities in order to provide residents with consistency of care.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are determined from the following shifts. You will work one evening shift per week and one weekend per month. This may change based on operational needs.
- 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Travel as needed andpossible mandatory overtime
- You must be willing to accept employment at Southeast Youth Development Center and commute to this location in Montgomery County.

- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $70666 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Youth Development Counselor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- One year of professional counseling experience with court adjudicated or socially maladjusted individuals in an organized program and a bachelors degree in the behavioral sciences special education juvenile justice or criminal justice;or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional counseling experience with court adjudicated or socially maladjusted individuals in an organized program.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirementis currentlywaived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will requirea medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
