What youll be doing
As a Consultant Governance Risk and Controls you will join CIBCs Governance Risk & Controls area to support control testing for technology controls within TI&I (Technology Infrastructure & Innovation). The Consultant Governance Risk and Controls uses independent judgement to determine methods and approaches to work liaising with internal and external sources to obtain provide verify and discuss information and best practices. Acting as a resource integrator for their area the role independently documents test results of detailed procedures configurations plans and reports for use in the decisionmaking process for determining control design and operating effectiveness.

How youll succeed
Control Testing On a quarterly basis you will be assigned a number of Technology Controls with various Line of Businesses and document the test results with appropriate evidence gathered to satisfy the control test steps. Once completed you will forward test results for review and communicate deficiencies to the Senior Manager Governance Risk & Controls and the Senior Risk Advisor. Ensure that test results are aligned as needed with regulatory requirements.
Audit & Risk Assessment You will participate in the preparation of the risk assessment package and engage with appropriate parties to gather artifacts for the control tests. You will attend and actively participate in client meetings with our External Auditor.
