Project Officer Mentoring and Community Projects
The fulltime starting salary is normally 34226.00 per annum with progression available in post to 37203.00 per annum.

Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to work right in the heart of the city and we currently have an exciting opportunity for Project Officer to join our dynamic team working with staff and students on campus. This role will join an established team and play a major part in supporting the delivery of the BCUs youth mentoring and community initiatives working alongside external partners to deliver meaningful engagement for children young people and local residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project delivery in an externally funded context looking to develop their career in an exciting environment.
Working directly with the Project Manager the Project Officer will be responsible for coordinating the daytoday activity of projects that sit with BCUs youth mentoring and community offer. This currently includes two externally funded contracts and a number of smaller workstreams working with external organisations such as Barnardos Childrens Charity Our Place Support CIC Liminal Education and Flourish.

Whilst not essential experience of working on initiatives involving outreach and community engagement particularly with students and young people would be desirable.
