As a Forensic Social Worker 1 you will be provide direct supervision to social work staff in the forensic sections of Norristown State Hospital. You will consult withclinical treatment team members todevelop coordinate and facilitate treatment plans. You will also conduct biopsychosocial assessments determine patient social service needs and identifymethods to modify and improve personal behaviors. This role requires the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships manage casework and use effective counseling techniques to provide comprehensive individual care. You will also review reports assist with admissions coordinate discharges and advise family members or legal guardians of patient progress.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch. May change bases on operational needs.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelors or masters degree in social work or social welfare.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will requirea medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
