The Boston Public Schools is excited to announce the Spring & Summer 2025 launch of the AI Fellows Program. We are seeking curious equitydriven and innovative educators who are eager to explore the instructional potential of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI that creates something based on a prompt) in the classroomwhether through educatordesigned materials and strategies studentcentered learning experiences or both.
This unique opportunity invites BPS teachers instructional coaches and specialists to pilot BPSapproved AI tools reflect on their classroom use and develop highquality case studies to share across the district. The program supports responsible effective and humancentered applications of AI tools aligned with theBPS Instructional Expectations including HighQuality Instructional Materials (HQIM) Equitable Literacy Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and strategies for supporting multilingual learners and students with disabilities.
The AI Fellows Program is grounded in educator agency and inquiry. It is designed to elevate teacherled innovation ensure safe and equitable AI implementation and build systemwide coherence for instructional technology use.
BPSapproved generative AI toolssuch as Gemini NotebookLM MagicSchool Brisk Canva Gemini tools in Google Classroom and Solara by Panoramawill be connected to teacheridentified classroom problems of practice to support instructional improvement.
