Windsor School is a public PreK12 school serving approximately 560 students with 110 students in grades 68. Our school is dedicated to a studentcentered approach through proficiency based learning and student voice through their learning leadership initiatives and their academic and socialemotional choices. We are currently seeking a 612 theater teacher to teach at the Windsor School. We are looking for an enthusiastic openminded teacher with a growth mindset to join our team of dedicated teachers. The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborative team member who is committed to continuing working on their teaching practice through professional development both individually and as a team. They should be able to listen to both students and colleagues with the goal of understanding others ideas with an emphasis on reflective teaching. Applicants must be well versed in and ready to implement the Common Core State Standards and best teaching practices. The position requires a professional who can instruct adolescents and teens in the skills required for live theatre including pantomime improvisation creative movement voice production basic stagecraft acting styles and approaches to characterization. The individual must also be able to direct two formal productions featuring the students in the Performance Styles class. Students in the WHS Theater Department thrive in studentled productions where they are encouraged to take on leadership roles in the areas of directing design choreography and music. Qualifications:Vermont Teacher Licensure; Bachelors Degree; Masters Degree in Education preferred; Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Proficient technology skills;Excellent collaboration and behavior management skills; Understanding of experience in and commitment to a MultiTiered System of Support; Ability to promote and maintain positive relationships with students colleagues and families; Confident in ones ability to manage student intervention plans; Ability to regularly analyze data and monitor student progress; and Collaboratively plan and coordinate instruction with Special Education staff.
