Lansdale PA Rochester NY Lake Mary FL or San Antonio TX

Westwood Professional Services Inc. is seeking an entrylevel Electrical Engineer to join our Substation Engineering team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing highlevel professional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for protection and control design for utilityscale substations for power delivery solar and wind applications.
Prepares reports specifications and drawing packages.
Review and approves project submittals and RFIs and support field activities during construction.
Provide professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects.
Daytoday support and input to internal and external Project Managers.
Required Skills
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from an ABETaccredited college.
Required Experience
Familiar with applicable codes and standards (IEEE ANSI NESC).
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word Excel etc. a must.
Effective verbal communication and technical writing skills.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and check the quality of own and others work.
Ability to use sound engineering judgment.
Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning organizing and prioritizing with attention to details.
Minimal travel possible.
Preferred Experience
12 years of relevant experience
EIT/FE certification or the ability to obtain certification within one year is preferred.
Experience developing one lines three lines AC schematics DC schematics alarm schematics communication schematics wiring diagrams and associated cable schedule preferred.
Experience completing AC and DC load voltage drop and conduit fill calculations preferred.
Experience developing equipment and construction specifications a plus.
AutoCAD and MicroStation drafting experience a plus.
