Essential Functions
Coach and direct intercollegiate team and activities during competitive season (late October to midMarch); plan and implement daily training schedule. Coordinate and schedule home and away preseason and nonconference competition in accordance with NAIA and Cascade Collegiate Conference CCC regulations and identified preseason budget; work with Athletics staff to plan and develop travel itineraries for all Conference travel trips. Coach and direct team activities in the noncompetitive season (MayOctober). Plan and implement summer and fall training schedules within NAIA 24week policy. Create and distribute off season fitness programs to guide studentathlete individual preparation. Supervise all support staff including Assistant Coaches Volunteer assistants and studentathlete support staff. Accompany and supervise teams on all travel trips. Plan and implement ongoing recruitment strategy that aligns with identified program department and institutional objectives. In accordance with NAIA policy coordinate campus visits maintain database of prospective studentathletes and coordinate and track application fee waiver requests. Plan and implement ongoing retention strategy which aligns with identified program department and institutional objectives. Monitor academic progress through midquarter and end of quarter progress reports and credit tracking; review academic progress based on intended pathway and institutional graduation requirements and provide academic support and/or referral for tutoring advising etc.; and track academic progress per NAIA continuing eligibility policies. Promote studentathlete health wellbeing confirm health and safety requirements and coordinate with Athletic Trainer for preparticipation screening medical treatment rehabilitation and injury prevention. Support the mental health of studentathletes through development of strong/supportive team culture conduct quarterly individual studentathlete meetings and refer to Student Wellness or other support services when appropriate. Plan and implement fundraising strategy and revenue generating program; follow department and institutional foundation guidance to identify reasonable and attainable fundraising strategies and goals. Plan and implement camps clinics or other events to meet revenue generation targets and generate revenue for department and program. Participate in departmental marketing and communications maintain Alumni relations manage studentathlete alumni network or database for the mens wrestling program and work with Athletics staff to establish regular communication regarding alumni activities contest schedules and donation and/or volunteer opportunities. Perform administrative responsibilities including managing Letter of Intent/waiver process when applicable confirm and track team waiver allocation and individual award amounts and perform NAIA eligibility processing and certification. Attend and participate in all Conference coachs meetings departmental staff meetings divisional meetings work groups and available professional development. Monitor and manage electronic communication such as Microsoft Teams text messages email and Conference correspondence. Work in collaboration with campus facilities and Athletic department to ensure wrestling facilities CRC 116 & 117 are safe clean visually appealing and meet industry standards for competition; communicate practice and competition schedules participate in scheduling of annual care and closure schedule and recommend and track Facility repairs and improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree. Four years of experience coaching wrestling at the varsity high school level or two years of experience coaching wrestling at the college level.
