Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

The Sr. Director: Lyme Team Lead and Operations launch lead (Dual Role) reporting to the US Vaccines Lead is a core member of the Global CrossFunctional Launch Team and is accountable for helping shape and deliver the US Launch strategy for VLA15 our investigational Lyme vaccine. Further following launch in 2027 this position will assume P&L responsibility including revenue attainment and budget/expense management for the full marketing team. This individual will also sit on the US Vaccines Leadership Team.

The Lyme team lead is responsible for ensuring launch readiness and efficiency. They are accountable for leading the development of the assets 35 year US crossfunctional strategic plan and facilitating collaboration with the Global team via the Glocal Model (i.e. Glocal Table). This role will also oversee the crossfunctional creation and submission of their assets Launch StageGates and orchestrate critical launch planning processes such as launch sequencing and longrange forecasting to maximize total asset value. Additional responsibilities include ensuring appropriate resourcing and funding across markets and projects.

This role will be responsible for hiring the HCP Team Lead (Director) a Director Ops Strategy and Performance Lead and a Brand Access Lead. Full team at launch is expected to be 78 colleagues.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with proven operational and capabilities as well as a successful track record of working in a teambased environment of crossfunctional partners.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Asset Strategy Lead Responsibilities

  • Lead development of the crossfunctional integrated launch plan to ensure launch success and the achievement of brand strategy including but not limited to high customer awareness and fast market uptake clear product differentiation and strong market access/reimbursement
  • Oversee and facilitate teams ways of working including collaboration with the global team via the Glocal Model (i.e. Glocal Table) US; Medical Legal Regulatory IIS and PGS
  • Develop US brand platform and lead/support launch key workstreams such as trademark positioning branding core messaging pricing access as well as operational processes such as launch sequencing volume/revenue forecasting
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional leads to provide commercial input/insights for medical regulatory manufacturing pricing/access and value proposition workstreams to ensure launch readiness and postlaunch uptake
  • Provide oversight on interdependencies across workstreams; ensure ontime achievement of key launch milestones; ensure timely transitions between activities and handoffs from global to US functions
  • Track launch performance throughout the launch cycle partner with BAI and the crossfunctional team to set and track progress on sKPIs/leading indicators and outcome/activity metrics

Launch Excellence Responsibilities

  • Ensure the correct measures of success are established and tracked throughout the launch cycle
  • Champion relevant Collective Advantage activities; actively participate in Launch Excellence workshops and knowledge sharing events

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA required; Advanced degree preferred
  • 12 years pharmaceutical marketing experience preference for vaccines experience
  • US and/or global product launch experience required
  • Strong understanding of GLocal marketing principles and healthcare market landscape
  • Exceptional product project and crossfunctional team management skills
  • Pharma Industry and Business Knowledge: Deep understanding of trends in health care and pharmaceuticals; customer and stakeholder landscape competitive dynamics regulatory and access environment delivery systems channels and sources of business in the US. Familiarity with the drug development process. Ability to use knowledge of industry and market trends to develop strategies and quantify business ideas
  • Leadership: Comfort with ambiguity and complex white space environments. Ability to embrace and encourage the implementation of innovative ideas and foster a culture of collaboration/teamwork. Demonstrated expertise and capabilities in matrixed crossfunctional leadership and influencing without authority
  • Research & Analytics: Demonstrated understanding of analytic tool/methods and the ability to generate strong customer insights and market intelligence. Ability to effectively link insights to implications to inform strategy planning and
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within and across teams organizations and the enterprise. Demonstrated ability to take appropriate risks share responsibilities and credit celebrate/reward accomplishments and instill in others a sense of urgency and ownership
  • Influencing & Communications: Ability to clearly articulate market research insights and implications. Track record of effective communication and active listening with the others frame of reference in mind. Strong presentation skills suitable for Global BU Leadership ELT and external audiences
  • Prioritization: Demonstrated ability to prioritize the asset/assets priorities value drivers and resource allocation required to optimize growth

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $219800.00 to $366400.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0 of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
