The patient safety analyst will support the risk management efforts of the entities in the assigned region under the direction of the Risk Director.
Responsible for the daily incident report review investigation and follow up
Prepare reports on safety report data and metrics from the incident reporting system
Assist the Director with preparation for the daily safety huddle
Respond to staff questions about consent/decision making/patient rights (such as guardianship/AMA)
Serve as a risk liaison with security social work patient advocate house supervisors
Respond to and investigate general risk questions that come into the department
Investigate and respond to clinical quality of care inquiries (such as the letters from insurance companies)
Assist with policy review
