Job Description
We are looking for a pricing practitioner with experience in the UK and French general insurance markets mainly in personal lines commercial lines experience is considered a plus to join Willis Towers Watson ICT Consulting as a consultant in our general insurance pricing practice to help us develop our pricing advisory capability in UK and support our Paris office. You will work beside some of the markets top thought members designing and implementing cuttingedge solutions to pricing and underwriting challenges faced by the worlds top general insurers and intermediaries.
In your role you will be helping our broad set of pricing clients by:
- Delivering best in class pricing and underwriting capability reviews
- Helping to build effective pricing models tools and processes using a wide range of data science techniques
- Designing and building sophisticated MI and portfolio management capabilities
- Leveraging your market knowledge in developing cutting edge pricing solutions in collaboration with various teams from across Willis Towers Watson
Responsibilities:
- To build a market profile as a representative and advocate of Willis Towers Watson pricing consulting services and technology solutions
- Manage substantial work streams in large projects with responsibility for communication with clients and the daytoday running of projects
- Work collaboratively on a range of projects / internal responsibilities and manage priorities appropriately
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient quality of client work
- Be involved in a variety of work to ensure a broad skill set (technical management and client) is maintained and developed
- Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the clients broader business issues
- contribute to the development of the companys intellectual capital including plans for taking this to market
- Develop and present proposals to potential clients demonstrating the economic value of the companys offerings
- Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on crossfunctional teams
- Serve as line manager or mentor to more junior associates
Please note this role can be based in either Reigate or London and will require flexibility from the successful candidate to travel between these locations as well as to Paris if necessary.
Qualifications
The Requirements
- Either mother tongue or Fluent in French.
- Pricing experience in a UK and or French general insurance firm (personal or commercial lines) either with experience across multiple lines of business or a deep expertise in a particular line
- An advocate for the development of analytical approaches and the adoption of new techniques including data science machine learning and AI
- Solid experience with data manipulation packages (SAS SQL WPS etc.
- Experience of Python is desirable
- Strong interpersonal and team skills
- Excellent project management skills
- The ability to see the big picture leveraging the resources of related practices to address clients business challenges
- Availability to travel on an as needed basis domestically and internationally
