NEW HAMPSHIRE PUBLIC SCHOOLSSCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT #1CONTOOCOOK VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICTPOSITION TITLE: Elementary School PrincipalSUPERVISOR: Superintendent of SchoolsQUALIFICATIONS:Certified or certifiable by the New Hampshire State Department of Degree with a major in Educational of three 3)years teaching experience and three 3 to five 5 years successful experience as anElementary evidence of excellent written and oral communication leadership and interpersonal skills are needed to fulfill performanceexpectations for this evidence of personal characteristics necessary for working effectivelywith students teachers administrators and such alternatives to these qualifications as the School Boardmay find acceptable and :Provides leadership for the professional staff of the school in the developmentimplementation and evaluation of a comprehensive educational program. Administer theschool programs in accordance with school board policies and administrative rulesand regulations promote positive school climate and foster parent and community AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise the schools educational the daily use of the school facilities for both academic and school time to provide for the efficient conduct of school instruction in the development determination of appropriateness and monitoring of theinstructional classes within established guidelines to meet student for adequate inventories of property under his/her control and for the security and accountability for that in the development revision and evaluation of the curriculum and emergingtechnologies and their instructional management for including all students into the general education curriculum to themaximum extent that teachers implement Individual Educational programs with all activities and programs that are outgrowths of the schools responsibility for the implementation and observance of all School Boardpolicies and regulations by the schools staff and effective supervision and performance management techniques to be able tojustifiably recommend the renewal and nonrenewal of teachers according toestablished all professional paraprofessional administrative and support personnelattached to the in the recruiting screening hiring training assigning and evaluating of theschools professional and counsels all staff members regarding their individual and with orientation and training (administrative procedures and instructions) cooperation and understanding among the various grades and functions of theeducational the teaching schedule and any special staff meetings to keep members informed of such things as policy changesand new programs necessary for the proper functioning of the arrangements for special conferences between parents and teachers and supervises fire drills extreme weather drills and an emergencypreparedness with college and university officials regarding teacher training with various members of the central administrative staff on school problems ofmore than inschool import such as transportation and special active relationships with students and special events held to recognize student achievement attendsschoolsponsored activities functions athletic events and community and and submit the schools budget and monitor expenditures of the maintenance and control of various local funds generated by to written and oral requests for information in a timely responsibility for all official school correspondence and news and administer the public relations program for the school acting as liaisonbetween the school and the community interpreting activities and policies of theschool and encouraging community participation in school the preparation of reports records lists and all other work required orappropriate to the schools as a member of such committees and attend such meetings as theSuperintendent of Schools shall his/her supervisor informed of events and activities of an unusual nature as wellas routine matters related to the supervisors responsibility for maintaining high standards of student conduct attendanceand health of students enforcing discipline as necessary according to due proces tothe rights of abreast of changes and developments in the profession by attending professionalmeetings reading professional journals and other publications and discussingproblems of mutual interest with others in the authority to responsible personnel to assume responsibility for the school inthe absence of the such other related duties as may from time to time be assigned by MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED:Frequently standing particularly for sustained periods of walking moving about on foot to accomplish tasks particularly for longdistances or moving from one work site to lifting raising objects from a lower to a higher position or movingobjects horizontally from positiontoposition. This factor is important if it occurs toa considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and talking expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken activities in which one must convey detailed or important spoken instructionsto other workers accurately loudly or hearing and perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levelswith or without correction.
