Idaho Power located in vibrant Boise Idaho is looking for a Transport Operator I to join our Fleet team. Its an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. What does a Transport Operator I do for us
They are responsible for the safe and efficient loading unloading and transportation of Company materials and equipment. They comply with all Company policies and procedures and all governmental regulations regarding interstate transportation and the transportation of hazardous materials. They also work in a team environment with Material Handlers Material Coordinators Material Analysts Fleet Service Coordinator and other work teams to ensure materials and equipment reach desired destinations as planned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Job requires the person to bend stoop squat crouch crawl climb into and out of trucks twist kneel balance and reach. Frequently lift shoulder height and above while putting upside boards weighing up to 20 lbs. and while strapping loads. Frequently lift waist high and knee high items weighing up to 60 lbs. Requires rarely using exertional force to open vehicle hoods weighing up to 120 lbs.; pushing/pulling while tying down loads and getting into and out of vehicles. Occasionally carry with one hand or two items weighing up to 60 lbs. Must be able to operate vehicle foot and hand controls while driving and operating various equipment. Also requires the ability to grasp and to use fine finger manipulation. Applicant must be able to perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat of harm to self others or property.
