PRIMARY PURPOSE:To provide fundamental Engineering principles and methods to provide forensic structural and building damage assessments to determine the origin and cause of failure / damage for residential commercial and industrial buildings and sites etc. Further using recognized design principles complete design of structural restoration and repair works including reconstruction design (including building permits) following a fire and foundation underpinning related to oil spill remediation under a building snow load and or roof failures and cost estimations through repair scope development. In addition to confirm the extent of damage and provided scope of repair and rehabilitation.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Masters degree holder in Civil Engineering from a recognized university and being a licensed Professional Engineer in Quebec and Ontario.
Experience
Ten 10 years of engineering experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required with some introduction to in the forensic sciences discipline.
Knowledge of fundamental Civil Engineering concepts practices procedures general terms conditions nomenclature etc. associated with the insurance industry and assigned area of engineering specialty. Forensic Engineering investigation experience is a plus. Documented experience in structural design of wood steel and reinforced concrete.
