The Nurse Manager is responsible and accountable for the planning organizing directing and coordination of clinical and administrative performance of assigned unit(s). Facilitates collaboration with medical and administrative leadership to assure client needs are met and evaluates nursing care and client outcomes. The scope of responsibilities includes clinical and safety practices of nurses and other members of the clinical team professional nursing practice leadership and professional growth. Ensures all nursing practices are consistent with regulatory licensing and contractual requirements.I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Provides leadership and supervision to nursing personnel to ensure ANA (American Nursing Association) professional nursing standards of practice and code of ethics are adhered to in all clinical care areas under this role.
2. Provides and documents individual supervision and monthly nursing meeting with nursing team members.
3. Attends and supports nurse attendance at all staff meetings.
4. Ensures staff complete all required CHL trainings and follows CHL policies and procedures.
5. Responsible for hiring of nursing staff and ensuring they are effectively oriented to their care areas.
6. Provides and supports staff individual and group education.
7. Utilizes the Idea System and Lean philosophy towards process improvement and quality client care.

9. Responds to emergencies and is an active participant in the response when able.
10. Develops strong collaborative relationships with members of management team staff peers physicians and within the community.
11. Responsible for management and development of nursing schedules for all care areas supported by this role.
12. Assists in the review and required updates to medical policies and procedures of the clients care areas supported by this role.
13. Assists in the completion and review of all incident reports and required notifications to external licensing agencies as needed.
14. Completes annual performance appraisals for all nursing team members supervised.

II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1.RN with current MA nursing license Bachelors degree preferred)
2. Current CPR certification
3. 25 years nursing experience
4. 34 years working in the field of Mental Health and or Addictions (both adult and adolescent experience
5. Satisfactory CORI background check/Adam Walsh CORI background check.
6. Driving is not a requirement.

Unless certification licensure or registration is an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:
Work is considered medium. May be required to lift up to 10 lbs frequently and 20 lbs occasionally.
