The AWS Security Response and Engineering (SRE) team is made up of specialized teams that work together to lead incident response and strengthen security across all AWS services. Their mission is to keep AWS products safe for customers by delivering analytics telemetry and platforms that support both automated and manual threat detection and response. They collaborate closely with other security teams to ensure thorough coverage.
Key job responsibilities
Designing and building services that scale for millions of users and systems.
Driving new innovation in the Amazon/AWS ecosystem and Think Big!
Continually learn different technologies and architectures to ensure we have the correct solutions Java Python Big Data Microservices etc.
Solving complex problems with elegant solutions by working across teams and organizations in Amazon.
Own your solutions and the entire lifecycle from the roadmap to the architecture to implementation and continuous iterative development.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
