Micah Projects provides a range of support and advocacy services to individuals and families.
Young Mothers for Young Women (YMYW) offers peer and professional support to young pregnant and parenting women 25 years and under their children and families who reside in the Brisbane City Council and Moreton Bay region. Young women can access a variety of different services through our Wellspring Hub including targeted family support group work antenatal services child health clinics and GP services. The program provides a twogeneration approach meeting the needs of the parents and their children. We celebrate the strengths of young women who are parenting and recognize issues related to housing health social isolation employment education and income are interconnected and solutions require an integrated approach.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Support & Advocacy Worker to join our Young Mothers for Young Women (YMYW) team. This role involves providing targeted family support through outreach strategies to young pregnant and parenting women their children and families with high and complex needs. The goal is to improve family functioning housing stability and community connections.
This is a fixed term full time employment opportunity until June 2027 with conditions and salary at Level 4 of the SCHADS Award.
