Position Purpose:
The Lab Technician plays a crucial role in the Global Brand & Product Development team requiring meticulous attention to detail strong technical skills and effective communication. Collaborating with Product Engineering Product Development and Quality teams they contribute to project goals providing essential support for new product development and production performance. Responsibilities encompass constructing test rigs executing testing and reviewing results.
Key Responsibilities:
70 Test Execute product testing following protocols in accordance with applicable test standards. This will include but not be limited to tests for: functional safety mechanical operation environmental conditions reliability performance failure modes and usability. Set up test rigs and document test procedures based on both internal and industry standards. Ensure test design follows lab Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as applicable and that all activities are completed on time.
10 Project Planning Participate on project teams and work directly with Product Engineers and Test Engineer to understand product and determine applicable testing. Offer input on suitable test rigs recommend modifications to improve testing plans effectiveness and contribute to discussions on test methods techniques and tools.
10 Data Evaluation Document test data clearly and accurately following Standard Operating Procedures. Evaluate test failures determine root causes and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Work with Test Engineer and/or Test Supervisor to determine any additional testing needed.
5 Maintenance Participate in 5S organization in the lab and ensure work area(s) meet 5S standards.
5 Automation Basic skills in developing code for PLC PID and or Raspberry pi.

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location or there may be a need to stoop regularly or move/lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience in a testing or laboratory environment.
Familiarity with 5S principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
Ability to follow SOPs and WIs precisely.
Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a trade school degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
