Want to work for a rapidly growing distributor of premium brands. My client distributes some of the top trending apparel brands in SA! They are in search of a detailed orientatedFinancial Controller to support the Financial Manager in driving financial performance ensuring compliance and delivering accurate financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fastpaced trendsetting environment where your strategic insight and analytical skills will directly impact commercial decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Cashbook
- Review and oversee credit card petty cash and general processing including recording of journal entries
- Prepare reconciliations for each balance sheet account
- Review cash & credit card account reconciliations
- Capture statutory returns: PAYE SDL VAT and payroll journals
- Manage capturing of invoices an prepare payments
- Supervise the debtors and creditors clerk
- Provide daily support and manage performance reviews and career planning
- Assist with preparation of budget models
- Managing UA account and prepare payment forecast
- Prepare monthly management accounts including presentation and analysis of accounts to FM
- Manage weekly sales tracker preparation and margin review
- Manage VAT return and liability reconciliation including VAT turnover reconciliation
- Manage inventory valuation and reconciliation to General Ledger
- Manage payroll reconciliation SAGE to General Ledger
Requirements:
- BCom in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years working experience within a retail or similar environment
