Job Description
Job Title: Preconstruction Director
Location: Atlanta Georgia
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a strategic and driven Preconstruction Directorto lead and mentor our preconstruction department team. In this role you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients building longterm relationships while ensuring the successful delivery of valuedriven highquality preconstruction services. This position plays a vital role in strategic planning customer development estimating budgeting and the overall growth of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership mentoring and direction to preconstruction and project management teams.
Lead initiatives in estimating budgeting proposal development marketing/sales support customer development planning and scheduling cost control quality assurance and followup.
Actively participate in strategic planning and including marketing and promoting services to current and potential clients.
Coordinate training initiatives in all aspects of the construction industry.
Manage and balance workload distribution across various profit centers and teams.
Develop conceptual schematic design development and construction budgets and schedules.
Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering responsive innovative and valueadded services.
Work closely with senior project managers business development teams and marketing groups to ensure client satisfaction.
Foster a safetyfirst environment through training and promotion of safe work practices.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or related field.
57 years of experience in construction project management.
3 years leading a team of 6 or more direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience leading preconstruction teams and setting strategic direction.
Ability to meet and manage team goals budgets and deadlines effectively.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strong technical leadership with a focus on leveraging technology and analytics.
Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Expertise in performing takeoffs and estimating for mechanical and plumbing projects.
Comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies materials and market trends.
Ability to clearly articulate complex preconstruction concepts to all stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills patience and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
