Job Description

The Shop Foreman CIM provides first line supervision of the daily operations of the manufacturing production floor.


Essential Functions

  • Direct activities for the shop functions including daily resource allocations of manpower.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Monitor and review the progress of work orders ensuring that deadlines are met and any issues or delays are promptly addressed.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures throughout the shop.
  • Ensure all equipment is in clean and safe working condition.
  • Train new employees in all departmental procedures including completion or paperwork notification policies and use of equipment.
  • Implement strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.


Requirements

Travel

Travel is not required for this position.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Experience with solid surface materials and applications counter tops enclosures and wall panels or experience in the building trades.
  • At least 5 years experience in a solid surface shop environment.
  • Must have technical skills to proficiently run shop equipment like table saw routers and skill saw.
  • Detailoriented and capable of working on multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Dependable with a positive attitude and commitment to success.
  • Must have effective communication skills as well as excellent attendance and work principles.
  • BA/BS in related field or additional specialized training equal to a master craft designation preferred.
  • Experience with plastic laminates and Solid Surface materials preferred.
