Key Responsibilities:
- Triage & Troubleshooting: Receive manage and resolve alerts calls and tickets.
- Customer Collaboration: Lead screensharing sessions diagnose issues and provide clear action plans.
- 24/7 Support: Respond to critical issues as part of an oncall rotation.
- Automation: Streamline repetitive tasks (e.g. backup health checks job monitoring).
- System Monitoring: Proactively identify and resolve backup/recovery environment issues.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate outages and implement preventive measures.
- Security & Compliance: Configure leastprivilege access audit systems and enforce policies.
- Documentation: Maintain an internal wiki with technical guides and procedures.
- Client Communication: Build trust by understanding needs and delivering solutions.
Technical Skills
Tier 1 (not all but multiple are required)::
- Windows/Linux administration
- VMware vSphere
- IP networking fundamentals
- System/Backup Administration
- Data Protection tools (e.g. Cohesity Rubrik Veeam Commvault)
Tier 2 (NicetoHave):
- Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Ansible Packer)
- Kubernetes M365/Entra ID
Professional Skills:
