They are seeking for experienced and highly skilled AV Lead Technician to join our growing team in the Greater Chicago Area. In this role you will be instrumental in leading and executing highend residential AV projects ensuring exceptional quality and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Cut terminate and identify various audio video data cables and wire.
- Installation of TVs speakers video projectors and projector screens.
- Installation of keypads.
- Load programs and update firmware.
- Possess a strong understanding of rack building procedures and tying in racks onsite.
- Accurately document the installation procedure and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Interface professionally and effectively with customers vendors and other trades on job sites.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting using various software and testing tools.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of AV floorplans wire schedules elevations and schematics.
- Exhibit a solid understanding of lighting and shade systems including HomeWorks QS low voltage wiring RPMs and breaker panels 010v wiring dimmers keypads repeaters shade wiring and setting shade limits.
- Provide onsite leadership mentorship and guidance to technician teams fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Oversee project timelines manage workflow and ensure projects are completed efficiently on schedule and within budget.
- Configure and program Savant and Lutron systems to meet client specifications and ensure seamless operation.
- Install and configure Ubiquiti network systems ensuring robust and reliable network performance.
- Work as an integral part of a creative resultsoriented and dedicated team collaborating closely on all project activities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 35 years of proven experience in residential AV installation and integration.
- Extensive experience in highend residential AV projects.
- Expertise in Savant and Lutron programming configuration and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience with Ubiquiti network systems including installation and configuration.
- Strong familiarity and working knowledge with product lines including Savant Lutron and Ubiquiti.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate teams onsite.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and problemsolving skills.
- A valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents including product specifications, wiring diagrams, and architectural drawings. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive customer inquiries or complaints. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Valid driver s license with minimum 3-year clean driving record. Infocomm CTS certification (within 6 months of employment start) & CTS-I within 12 months Maintain and/or acquire OSHA 10 Hr construction within 3 months from employment start.
