Job Description
Primary Objective of the Position:
The successful applicant will develop load plans while ensuring the safe and efficient use of aircraft.
Essential Position Functions:
- Ensure accurate and safe load information is presented to flight crew.
- Ensure maximum utilization of space on all flights.
- Communicate all relevant load information to down line stations Cargo Movement Control & management.
- Audit all load information to ensure 100 accuracy.
- Compile all container and containerized and loose cargo information onto a load plan worksheet.
- Planning of nightly warehouse breakdown.
- Contact customers and retrieve information applicable to nightly volume.
- Assembly of nightly shift package which contains all pertinent information.
- Advise customers of delays to applicable flights.
- Assist Customer Service and the Station Manager as required.
- Send detailed reports in regard to flight delays or other operational issues.
- Will also be required to assist with breakdown and buildup of cargo.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Strong working knowledge of all MS Office applications and Kargomine/Sable.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Dangerous Goods training required if selected.
