You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a talented individual to join our Marsh Data Services team.
TheRegional Data Leaderposition is part of Marsh Data Services (MDS) which sits within the broader Operations and Technology (O&T) organization. The Regional Data Leader reports into the global data and analytics lead within MDS and will also have a matrix reporting line into the O&T leader for the region. They will serve on the regional O&T leaders leadership team and will enable the connection with global MDS groups and activities. Given the nature of these relationships the successful candidate will need to be comfortable operating within a matrix structure with a combination of regional and global responsibilities.
We will count on you to:
Design and implement data strategy plans that align with global regional and local requirements.
Support the development of operational analytical and transactional systems that deliver measurable business value.
Build and maintain effective relationships with department heads to align priorities across operations technology and business.
Communicate global data initiatives locally and ensure adherence to data standards.
Articulate regional data requirements to inform global system planning and design.
Assist regional stakeholders in balancing shortterm needs with longterm strategic goals.
Provide insights for optimizing processes and improving data quality.
Educate stakeholders on data possibilities and facilitate businesstechnical discussions.
Recruit train and manage a highperforming team of data professionals to meet regional needs.
Guide the creation of inspiring data dashboards for colleagues and clients.
Collaborate with regional users to translate use cases into business and technical requirements leading strategy planning across departments.
Work with business and technology partners to identify metrics and operational efficiencies in regional data processes.
What you need to have:
Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role preferably in the insurance or financial services sector; candidates from other B2B industries are also welcome.
Extensive handson experience with data systems and operations along with a solid understanding of data management governance concepts and data quality dimensions.
Strong stakeholder and people management skills with the ability to attract train and retain talent while building collaborative relationships in a global environment.
Proven ability to create insightful dashboards and translate business requirements into technical specifications demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing behavior change across complex organizations and driving performance enhancements through workflow analysis.
Selfmotivated with a creative mindset capable of generating innovative solutions to complex business problems and willing to learn new domains.
An inquisitive nature that encourages questioning current practices and the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.
