25OTH18 Online Summer School Teacher
LOCATION: Virtual (asynchronous) with connection to Continuing Education
DATES & HOURS: June 30 2025 Julyhours)
FEDERATION AFFILIATION: While performing this position you are a member of the Ontario Secondary School teachers Federation representing the District 18 Teachers Bargaining Unit. Union dues will apply.
RATE of PAY: $62.66/hour
JOB SUMMARY:
All UGDSB secondary summer school courses are being offered in an online asynchronous format for the summer of 2025. Online asynchronous learning provides a wide range of courses to all students in the UGDSB. It is also an opportunity for students to earn online learning credits which are a graduation requirement.
Online summer courses will have a workday of 6 hours. Teachers can schedule those hours in consultation with the Online Summer School Supervisor between 8:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m. each day of the summer term.
Successful applicants will work with the Online Summer School Supervisor to deliver full and/or half credit online courses in:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be qualified in the division and subject area for which you are applying
Experience using Brightspace and/or other online platforms to deliver courses through an asynchronous online learning model
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Teachers must be able to work within Canada throughout the full duration of summer school. Access to the online learning platform is not available outside of the country.
