Our ambitious outstanding school in Newham is seeking a dedicated and skilled Geography Teacher to join our successful and growing department. We are keen to hear from teachers who are not only excellent practitioners but also have the drive and potential to take on a TLR and contribute to the ongoing development of Geography provision and fieldwork experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons across Key Stages 34 (and potentially KS5.
- Inspire students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for the complexities of our planet and its societies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the curriculum.
- Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Geography.
- TLR opportunities may include leading a key stage coordinating fieldwork developing resources or leading departmental projects.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Geography or a closely related field.
- Proven experience teaching Geography at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).
- Strong subject knowledge across physical and human geography including fieldwork expertise.
- Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead geographical inquiry.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities within the Geography department (for TLR consideration).
