Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic II (SCA 23022
Location: Fort Cavazos
Job Type: Full Time
General Description:
This mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls engines hydraulics pneumatics fuel systems and mechanical components applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blueprints or manufactures manuals.
Job requirements:
Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting repair procedures and replacement of parts requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair must have basic knowledge of electrical theory must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment torque wrenches dial indicators micrometers sheet metal brakes and sheers. This job requires working knowledge of technical publications. The incumbent receives technical guidance as required from supervisor or higherlevel technician will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks and will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute proficient troubleshooting maintenance and repair of aircraft aligning with aviation regulations manufacturers guidelines and our company policies.
- Uphold stringent documentation standards ensuring comprehensive and updated aircraft maintenance records.
- Adhere diligently to organizational policies and procedures maintaining a compliant and efficient workspace.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding teams through complex aircraftrelated tasks as and when necessary.
- Effectively prioritize workload ensuring organized and timely completion of assigned projects
- Will be responsible for maintaining aircraft records in customerprovided aircraft management systems (ACN/SAP)
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of three 3 years relevant experience in aircraft maintenance within the last six 6 years on assigned airframe.
- Proficiency in Aircraft Notebook (ACN).
- Possession of a valid drivers license.
- Strong organizational communication and teamwork skills are essential.
- Ability to meet the necessary security requirements for access to sensitive systems and facilities
Skills & Expertise:
- Indepth knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting and repair.
- A foundational understanding of electrical theory.
- Extensive familiarity with specialized aircraft tools including but not limited to test equipment torque wrenches and dial indicators.
- Ability to obtain/maintain clearance required for base access (NACI T1.
Physical Demand:
- Candidates may be subjected to preemployment physicals pertinent to the role such as operating Ground Support Equipment and wearing personal respirators.
- Candidates may be subjected to preemployment drug screening.
Note:
- Travel may be a requisite for this role and candidates will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
- May be required to work night/evening shifts.
- May be required to work overtime and weekends
