Job Description

The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for a Development Assistant to assist the Director and the Assistant Director of Institutional Giving by providing and executing a variety of administrative functions and tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assists the Assistant Director with stewardship and fulfillment of Corporate Membership.
  • Drafts and coordinates regular and ad hoc outreach to members and prospects including acquisition renewal and upgrade efforts and event invitations.
  • Researches and identifies membership prospects; assembles pitch materials.
  • Processes incoming gifts prepares receipts and drafts acknowledgements.
  • Circulates corporate member information internally and updates roster on
  • Works with member representatives to promote employee participation and corporate involvement in the Museums exhibitions and programs.
  • Assists with the organization and implementation of Corporate Member tours and events including some morning and evening work.
  • Assists with the preparation of attendance reports for corporate members as needed.
  • Updates Salesforce database and Corporate Membership files on a regular basis.
  • Assists with day to day administrative responsibilities including maintaining files and responding to phone and email inquiries.
  • Other duties reasonably related to the above.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and one or more years of related experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Google Workspace Salesforce or other CRM databases.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working independently with donors or customers.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in and knowledge of modern and contemporary art is a plus.

Reports to: Assistant Director Institutional Giving.

Salary: The annual salary for this position is $57139; increasing to $59424 at the end of May 2025.
