KeyBanc Capital Markets is seeking a fulltime investment banking Analyst or Associate with modeling/structuring experience to support the Asset Backed Securitization (ABS) Group in New York City.
About the Job
Analysts and Associates in KBCM act as the primary daytoday leaders for analytical support including financial statement analysis; industry research; transaction surveillance and the preparation of various presentations spreadsheets and documents including descriptive memoranda management presentations and new business.
As a modeler/structurer this individual will help to model and structure ABS transactions in a variety of consumer and commercial asset classes including equipment leasing venture debt solar and consumer loans such as home improvement solar and timeshare. This will include daily interactions with other bankers and clients institutional investors rating agencies attorneys and accountants.
Analysts and Associates interact daily with other bankers and clients institutional investors rating agencies attorneys and accountants. Associates and experienced Analysts help manage transactions and interface directly in the transaction process. They play a central role in coordinating the activities of all team members.
Essential Job Functions
Work with ABS investment bankers and product partners on all aspects of term securitizations and other capital raising opportunities including modeling and structuring
Help the ABS group support credit providers at Key that lend to prospects/clients
Generate ideas about structural adjustments that further optimize transactions
Run collateral stratifications
Generate ideas and analytical materials in support of new client meetings
Create PowerPoint presentations Excel spreadsheets and other materials for client rating agency investor or internal use
Maintain tracking spreadsheets on previously closed deals monitor secondary trading trends and compile and maintain data on comparable structured finance transactions
Required Qualifications
2 years of relevant fulltime work experience including experience modeling securitizations
Highly motivated and talented individual with the desire for a career in Investment Banking or Capital Markets
Strong PowerPoint & Excel skills
Proven ability to succinctly express ideas
Demonstrated interest in corporate finance investment banking accounting and financial markets
Strong academic track record with coursework completed in the areas of Economics Accounting and Finance
Proven research skills
Strong team player with a positive cando attitude and desire to be part of a closeknit group operating in an intensive and challenging work environment
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $125000 to $175000 annually depending on location and jobrelated factors such as level of experience education licenses and certifications. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for shortterm incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
