Introduction
The Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) supports State and local government agencies as well as local nonprofit organizations and the citizens of Maryland by providing facilities management real estate and surplus property services as well as security and law enforcement for State buildings. DGS is also responsible for a full spectrum of facilities engineering design and construction services almost $1 billion in annual contract administration and overseeing the State procurement process. POSITION DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:Six years of experience two years of experience as an Engineer in the building construction renovation or maintenance fields and an additional four years of experience performing maintenance or construction engineering work in facility and maintenance system work.
Notes:
may substitute the possession of a Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited college or university and two years of experience as an Engineer in the building construction renovation or maintenance fields for the required experience.
may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military serviceexperience as a commissioned officer in Civil Engineer Corps classifications or Construction Engineering Technician or Civil or Combat Engineering specialty codes in the Engineering field of work on a yearforyear basis for the required experience.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess the following additionalqualification(s) to be clear and specificinformation on your application regardingall qualifications.
Two years of experience managing small tomedium construction projects including managing schedules managing contractsprocessing invoices etc.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong preference will be given to applicants whopossess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear andspecific information on your application regardingall qualifications.
Experience with EV charginginfrastructure projects.
Electrical engineering degree and/orelectrical experience.
Experience managing projects that includenew service connections.
Experience with building electrification.
Experience with the State procurementprocess.
