Summary Statement
Essential Functions
Essential functions are fundamental core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. - Provides educational material and technical information to groups and students.
- Provides educational material about fishing techniques safety and equipment.
- Maintains program equipment and materials.
- Provides general customer service and information to visitors.
- Assists with special events and outreach programs.
- May assist with drafting social media posts.
- May assist in overseeing the work of volunteers.
- Ability to work in an outdoor setting with large amount of walking.
- Must be able to demonstrate responsibility dependability professionalism and good communication skills and interact as a team member with other staff and volunteers.
- Maintains a positive attitude.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Experience working with children and young adults such as academic/athletic tutoring camp counselor youth volunteer classroom assistant or education teacher.
- Six months experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing Excel or Publisher.
- Knowledge of public speaking or interpretation.
- Knowledge of Aquatic or Environmental Science.
- Possession of a valid drivers license (not suspended revoked or cancelled or disqualified from driving).
