Job Description

At 54 reasons were passionate about supporting those affected by domestic and family violence (DFV) to rebuild their lives. Our Domestic and Family Violence Refuges provide women and children with urgent safe accommodation when they have nowhere else to go. 54 reasons are one of the largest providers of DFV refuge services in Queensland be part of this dynamic network of teams working together to deliver high quality support to women and children escaping violence.

A place to make a difference:

In this permanent part time position 9 days per fortnight) youll work within a team to provide specialist support to children and their families within the DFV refuge program. Youllprovide intervention and support to children who have witnessedDFVand collaborate with their carer implementing 54 Reasons Child iView framework. As part of the SEQ DFV Refuge team youll work shifts from 8:30am 4:30pm weekdays and report to a Team Leader.

You have experience within the domestic and family violence sector and are passionate about childrens rights. You know how to respond well in crisis and how to work with children who have experienced to work independently and take initiative while working within the role boundaries.

It is a genuine requirement of this position that it be filled by a woman as permitted in sections 25 104 and 105 of the AntiDiscrimination Act 1991.
