Adult Mental Health Support Services Counselor QMHPA
Annual Salary: $48317 with $1500 signon bonus
Work Schedule: Monday Friday 4:00 pm to 12:30 am

ROLE OF AN ADULT MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT SERVICES COUNSELOR
As a QMHPA you will play a key role in the Mental Health Regional Supervised Housing Program. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals with severe mental illnesses and potential cooccurring substance use disorders promoting their independence and reducing hospital admissions. You will provide personalized services training in independent living skills crisis intervention advocacy and supportive counseling in a residential mental health setting.
By closely monitoring and documenting client progress you will help achieve the broader goals of improving community placement and supporting substance use disorder recovery. Join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those seeking mental health support.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
To thrive in this role candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in Human Services (such as Social Work Psychology or Counseling) be registered as a QMHPA with the Board of Counseling and have at least one year of experience working with adults with serious mental illness or emotional impairments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as youll be providing behavioral health services and counseling to those in need. The ability to collaborate within a team show empathy and adapt to diverse needs and situations are critical for success in this fulfilling role.
