Position Overview:
The Sr. Director of Human Resources provides strategic cultural human resource managerial external development and leadership for the efficient and effective operation of the Human Resources Division through collaborative networking with internal and external stakeholders and with regard to the general community.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for planning coordinating and evaluating the operations of the Human Resources Department including recruitment retention recognition and rewards training benefits compensation customer service performance management disciplinary action employee investigations and the termination process in concert with the CEO.
- Ensures compliance with all federal state and local laws and regulations relating to the human resources field through policies and procedures and conducts regular audit to ensure compliance is being met.
- Supervises assigns and evaluates the recruitment activities screening processes including testing including but not limited to applicant tracking applicant interviewing determination of applicant qualifications background investigations and reference checks.
- Manage and direct complex and complicated human resources projects and modules such as integrated human resources information systems.
- Establishes goals and objectives for the department; prepares departmental budget; attends meetings as required representing the department in human resources matters.
- Investigates analyzes and formulates methods for handling performance management and evaluation programs including job descriptions salary surveys and position reclassifications.
- Serves as an internal consultant to directors managers and supervisors on organizational development job performance and productivity standards and special program development and implementation.
- Oversees and maintains uptodate job descriptions for all jobs in current use and develops new job descriptions as needed. Ensures all job descriptions are ADA compliant.
- Plans and coordinates La Posadas employee recognition programs.
- Provides a working environment that promotes supports and protects the wellbeing of employees consistent with the culture of the campus. Develops applies and monitors employee satisfaction.
- Participates in the strategic planning budgeting and annual initiatives of the organization to ensure that compensation plans benefits and employee programs are appropriately included.
- Oversees the hiring training professional development performance management work assignments and metrics to appropriately monitor outcomes of the human resources staff.
- Ensures compliance with employee leave programs including PTO EPSL sick leave STD LTD FMLA ADA and workers compensation.
- Maintains and updates as needed the salary structure for the organization and recommends changes as needed.
- Guides the optimal use of the HRIS and timekeeping system to provide management and employees with all the needed information to address questions issues and concerns and leverages the technology to engage all employees while building accountability.
- Serves as a member of the Sr. Management Team.
- Represents La Posada in the community and at industry events.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Education: Masters Degree in Human Resources Management or an MBA or equivalent education and training.
- Experience: Five or more years of highlevel leadership experience in human resources or similar field.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in the use of a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Outlook Excel PowerPoint Word. Extensive experience in HRIS software for larger organizations required.
